When pelvic fluid is more than 10 ml, it is mostly caused by pathological reasons and requires diagnosis and treatment in the obstetrics and gynecology department of the hospital. Pathological pelvic fluid may be caused by pelvic inflammation, ectopic pregnancy, luteal rupture, tumor and so on. Physiologic pelvic fluid may be related to retrograde flow of menstrual blood during menstruation, collection of follicular fluid, physiologic plasma and other causes.
