Pain on movement of the chest may be considered as acute gastritis, gastric ulcer or acute gastroenteritis. When a disease occurs in the stomach, it can cause pain in the upper abdomen or under the glabella, and sometimes it is very intense in nature, accompanied by nausea, vomiting, acid reflux, abdominal distention, and hiccups. In the case of acute gastroenteritis, the pain is usually caused after the patient has eaten unclean food and is mainly located in the upper abdomen and around the navel, accompanied by nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. In the case of acute gastritis or gastric ulcer, the pain is located in the upper abdomen and the diagnosis can be made by gastroscopy, which can directly detect the lesions of the gastric mucosa. If it is caused by acute gastritis or gastric ulcer, it can be treated conservatively with oral medications, such as omeprazole, clarithromycin, amoxicillin, etc. If it is caused by gastroenteritis, it requires infusion of fluids, including antibiotics as well as infusion of glucose and sodium chloride.
