What should I do if my eight-month-old baby has diarrhea?

Eight months of baby diarrhea mainly consider the baby acute gastroenteritis, diarrhea and other conditions, can be relieved through general treatment, medication and other methods.
1. Acute gastroenteritis: if the baby because of acute gastroenteritis caused by diarrhea, it is recommended to give the baby more massage or hot compresses on the abdomen, promote blood circulation, reduce the symptoms of diarrhea; can be appropriate to take probiotics, regulating intestinal flora, such as Saccharomyces boulardii, Bacillus subtilis, and so on.
2. Diarrhea: If the baby has acute diarrhea, it is recommended to drink more hot water to avoid dehydration caused by diarrhea; take antidiarrheal drugs, such as montelukast.
If the symptoms of diarrhea are not relieved, or accompanied by other symptoms, should go to the hospital in a timely manner, after a clear reason to give targeted treatment. All of the above medications should be used under the guidance of a doctor to avoid self-medication.
