Radiotherapy, surgical excision and cryotherapy are generally considered for early stage tongue cancer, and the addition of immunotherapy can be considered for advanced stage, so immunotherapy for advanced tongue cancer may be useful.
Early stage tongue cancer mainly needs to be treated by surgery, excision of the diseased part of tongue or total tongue excision; combined with preoperative and postoperative radiotherapy; and cryotherapy; while radiotherapy for advanced tongue cancer needs to be integrated treatment, which can be combined with radiotherapy, chemotherapy, surgery and immunotherapy. Immunotherapy, such as PD-1 immunotherapy, can be treated by enhancing the ability of T cells to kill tumor cells.
When patients suffer from tongue cancer, they should be treated under the guidance of doctors, and they need to pay attention to avoiding too cold and too hot food in daily life.
