In severe fatty liver, the effects on the liver are more pronounced than in moderate fatty liver, and patients will experience symptoms such as discomfort and distension in the right upper abdomen, loss of appetite, aversion to grease and fatigue to a greater extent or frequency. If liver function deteriorates further, symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, jaundice and itchy skin may also occur.
