Lung diseases are treated from the perspective of “qi”

The lung is the highest, so it is called “Huagai”, because the lung leaves are delicate, not resistant to heat and cold, and easily invaded by evil, so it is also called “Jiaozang”. Its main functions are the main qi and respiration, the main propagation and purification, the regulation of water channels, the external coordination of skin and hair, and the opening of the nose. The lung is in charge of the Qi of the human body. 1. The lung is in charge of the Qi and the respiratory function of the lung: the lung is the place for the exchange of gases between the body and the outside, and through the breathing of the lung, it inhales the clear gas of nature and exhales the turbid gas of the body, so as to maintain the normal life activities of the human body. Su Wen – Yin and Yang should be the elephant in the room “said:” the weather through the lungs “is this meaning. 2, the main lung gas and the human body Zong Qi generation: the lung and the generation of Zong Qi have a close relationship, the lungs inhaled by the clear gas and water and grain essence combined to form Zong Qi, which accumulates in the chest, up the throat to the Division of breathing, and through the heart veins and spread throughout the body to nourish the organs and tissues, so the lung plays a role in presiding over the Qi of the whole body. Suwen – five Tibetan generation chapter said; “all Qi, all belong to the lung”. It refers to this. 3, the lung is the main qi and the lung towards the hundred veins: the so-called “lung towards the hundred veins” refers to the blood of the whole body, all through the meridians and gathered in the lungs. The lungs can assist the heart in regulating the circulation of the body’s qi and blood, so it is said that “the lungs are the master of the joints”. The lungs are responsible for propagation and suction, propagation and suction are the two physiological functions of the lungs, and they are coordinated with each other. 1, the lung function of Xuanfa: Xuanfa that is, the meaning of the Xuan Tong hair dispersion. Its function has three aspects: one is through the lung gasification, the discharge of turbid gas in the body; two is the spleen transported water and grain essence, spread to the whole body; three is to promote the Wei Qi, regulate the opening and closing of the coup, excretion of sweat and disease. Therefore, if the lung is not propagated, there will be unfavorable exhalation, chest tightness, coughing and wheezing, as well as nasal congestion and no sweating and other pathologies. At this time, the common use of ephedra, orchid, rhizoma, antebellum, and with the dispersal of wind evil, relieving the surface of the drug: such as: cicada molasses, peppermint, mulberry leaf, burdock, etc.. 2, the lung’s purgative function: purgative means clearing and descending. Its function also has three aspects: one is the inhalation of natural clear air; two is the lungs for the Huagai of the organs, so the inhalation of clear air and water and grain essence down to spread; three is to purge the lungs and the respiratory tract of foreign matter, in order to maintain the cleanliness of the respiratory tract. Therefore, when the lung is not purified, shortness of breath, coughing and asthma, coughing and phlegm may occur. At this time, Mr. Luo often used almonds, Bai Qian, Su Zi, Lycopodium, Shen Xiang, Ke Zi, Scapularia, Aster, Winter Flower, Mulberry Bark, Loquat Leaf, Dai Ochre, Qing Meng Shi, and Wu Wei Zi, Wu Bei Zi, Wu Mei Zi, Poppy Shell, etc., which are used to lower the Lung Qi. In addition, the organs that are very closely related to lung qi are mainly the innate kidney and the acquired spleen. In the five elements, the spleen is earth, the lung is gold, and the kidney is water. Earth produces gold and gold produces water. The lung and the spleen: the lung is the main respiratory organ, through which the lung breathes in the clear qi of nature; the spleen is the main transporting organ, through which the spleen transports and transforms the qi of water and grain essence. The clear qi and the essence of water and grain produce zong qi and accumulate in the chest, which goes through the respiratory tract to help the lungs breathe and through the heart veins to help the heart move qi and blood. It can be seen that the generation of zong qi mainly depends on the lungs and spleen, so it is said that “the lungs are the pivot of the main qi, and the spleen is the source of vital energy”. The relationship between the Spleen and the Lung is that of mother and child. “The spleen is the source of vital energy and depends on the grain to produce it, while the lung is the source of gasification and feeds the spleen.” Lung disease injures the spleen, loss of appetite, and weakness in the middle state, at which time Mr. Luo often adds Astragalus, Atractylodes, Radix Codonopsis, and Glycyrrhiza glabra to benefit qi and strengthen the spleen. Lung and kidney: lung is gold, kidney is water, gold gives birth to water, so the relationship between lung and kidney is called gold and water, also known as lung and kidney Sang Sang. The lung is the main exhalation, the kidney is the main intake of Qi. The breathing movement of the human body, although dominated by the lungs, but need to assist the role of the kidney’s gas. Only when the kidney is full of qi can the inhaled qi be purified by the lung and taken down to the kidney. The lungs and kidneys cooperate with each other to complete the physiological activities of breathing. So it is said: “The lung is the master of qi, the kidney is the root of qi. At this time, when the lung disease has been deficient for a long time and the Qi is rebellious, such as asthma, the addition of sinking incense, cinnamon and other products to calm asthma, as well as the supplementation of kidney yin and kidney yang.
