Tracheoscopy is an important tool in the diagnosis and treatment of bronchial tuberculosis. Therefore, most patients who are suspected of having bronchial tuberculosis usually undergo bronchoscopy as prescribed by their physician. Bronchial tuberculosis is highly suspected when tracheal and bronchial mucosal congestion, ulceration, hyperplastic granulation tissue obstructing the tracheal lumen, or fibrous scarring causing narrowing of the airway are present during bronchoscopy. Samples can be collected for pathologic examination to clarify the diagnosis. At the same time, bronchoscopy can be used for treatment, such as microscopic drug administration, microscopic interventional therapy, stent implantation, balloon dilatation, and so on. If bronchial tuberculosis is diagnosed, it is recommended that the patient go to the hospital as soon as possible.
