Criteria for discontinuation of bronchial tuberculosis

The criteria for stopping bronchial tuberculosis are based on the degree of symptomatic improvement after drug administration and the results of auxiliary examination tests. 1. The degree of symptomatic improvement after drug administration: after at least 6 to 8 months of regular and combined use of anti-tuberculosis drugs, there are no symptoms of bronchial tuberculosis, such as fever, fatigue, night sweats, cough and sputum. 2. Auxiliary examination test results: chest radiographs show that the lesions in the lungs have disappeared or sclerosed, the sclerotic foci are stable, and the drugs can be stopped if there are no tubercle bacilli in the sputum culture. The above criteria are applicable to most cases, but there is no specific and individualized standard, and the specific medication time for each patient should be determined by the doctor according to the patient’s symptom recovery, imaging performance and sputum culture of tuberculosis bacilli. The disappearance of bronchial tuberculosis symptoms does not mean cure, the specific program should be carried out under the evaluation and guidance of a professional doctor, do not stop the drug without authorization, in order to avoid poor therapeutic effect.
