The first thing to do in the care of aplastic anemia is psychological care, which should encourage the patient to treat the disease correctly, maintain optimism, and establish the courage and confidence to overcome the disease. Keep the air in the patient’s room fresh and sunny, and open the windows regularly to ventilate, but be careful not to catch a cold. Do not get in touch with people with colds and infectious diseases, and do not go to public places or go there less often. Increase nutrition, supply food rich in protein and vitamins, such as lean meat, liver, fish, shrimp, fresh vegetables and fruits. If the patient has a decreased appetite and poor digestion, season according to their usual preferences to enhance appetite and ensure nutrition. Fruits should be washed and peeled to prevent diarrhea. Patients should avoid overexertion. In case of headache, dizziness and subcutaneous bleeding, bed rest is necessary. When the body is healthy or close to normal, the patient can participate in labor, work and study appropriately under the guidance of the doctor. Pay attention to the cleanliness of the skin, and do the four diligent, that is, diligent bathing, diligent change of clothes, diligent haircut, diligent nail cutting. Drink more water, keep your bowels open, and get into the habit of having a bowel movement on time every day. If you have dry stools or constipation, use a light laxative. If you have anal fissures, symptomatic treatment should also be given. Review the blood picture every week to know the increase or decrease of hemoglobin, red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets in time to enhance confidence and insist on treatment. Observe closely the changes in the condition frequently, and contact the doctor promptly if there is any change in the mental state or deterioration of the condition. In case of nostril dryness, use paraffin oil or peppermint oil drops to prevent nasal bleeding. Once bleeding occurs, take care of it as nosebleed. If it still cannot be stopped, go to hospital for treatment.
