Aplastic anemia does not usually cause splenomegaly. Aplastic anemia is a disease of the blood system, caused by the hematopoietic dysfunction of the bone marrow causing a decrease in the three lineages of cells of the blood system, i.e., a decrease in the number of red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets, which correspondingly manifests in symptoms such as anemia (pallor, weakness, etc.), infections, and hemorrhage (bleeding from mucous membranes, gastrointestinal tracts, etc.), and does not usually result in an enlarged spleen. Splenomegaly is often caused by cirrhosis secondary to liver cirrhosis, some infectious diseases, etc. Lymphoma, myelofibrosis, leukemia, hemolytic anemia, etc. in hematological system diseases also lead to splenomegaly, so splenomegaly has little correlation with aplastic anemia. When aplastic anemia is accompanied by splenomegaly, relevant examinations should be conducted to clarify the cause and standardize the treatment under the guidance of doctors.
