Difference between Patchouli Zhengqi Pills and Patchouli Zhengqi Water

Pouli Xiang Zheng Qi Pill and Pouli Xiang Zheng Qi Shui are both proprietary Chinese medicines made according to the formula “Pouli Xiang Zheng Qi San”. The difference between Huo Xiang Zheng Qi Pill and Huo Xiang Zheng Qi Shui is mainly the different dosage forms and different drug composition.
1. Different dosage forms: Huo Xiang Zheng Qi Pills are brown water honey pills or large honey pills; the gas is slightly fragrant, and the taste is slightly sweet and bitter. Patchouli Zhengqi water is dark brown clarified liquid (storage slightly precipitated); taste pungent, bitter.
2. The composition of the drug is different: patchouli Zhengqi water contains ethanol (alcohol), patchouli Zhengqi pill does not contain ethanol.
It should be noted that people who are allergic to Huo Xiang Zheng Qi Shui and the ingredients contained in it are forbidden to use it. Patchouli Zhengqi Shui is contraindicated in people who are allergic to alcohol. Adverse reactions to Patchouli Zhengqi Shui include nausea, vomiting, rash, itching, dizziness, flushing, and palpitations.
