There are thyroid glands on both sides of the throat nodes in the neck. If nodules grow on both sides of the thyroid gland, the ultrasound report is a bilobar thyroid nodule. Whether a thyroid nodule is serious or not depends on the nature of the nodule. 95% or more of thyroid nodules are benign and 5% or less are malignant. If it is malignant, it is thyroid cancer, but if it is benign, it is not serious. Bilobar, unilobar, solitary, multiple and size do not determine whether the thyroid is benign or malignant. The nature of thyroid nodules is mainly observed in the following aspects: 1) whether the border of thyroid nodules is clear, if the border of thyroid gland is described as clear it may be benign, unclear border and fuzzy border suggest poor; 2) to see the shape of thyroid gland, such as date nucleus lying flat is generally benign, round bean shape is generally not good, date nucleus-like standing form is not good; 3) whether there is calcification foci inside thyroid nodules, if there is coarse calcification is good If there are gravel-like microcalcifications, 80%-90% are thyroid cancer; 4. So whether bilobed thyroid nodules are serious or not depends on the shape of the thyroid gland and further examination is needed. Benign only need to do ultrasound once a year, if benign nodules in a year height, length, size, growth greater than 3mm, that is, too fast growth, suggesting a poor nature, need to pay close attention. If necessary, puncture for pathology for biopsy to determine its nature.
