What does TRAb refer to?

TRAb are thyrotropin receptor antibodies, which are antibodies that act directly on thyrotropin receptors on the membranes of thyroid cells, and are categorized into thyroid-stimulating antibodies (TSAb) and thyroid-stimulating blocking antibodies (TSBAb). High thyroid-stimulating hormone receptor antibodies can be seen in diseases such as Graves’ disease and autoimmune thyroiditis. Due to different examination methods and reagents, and different reference indexes in each hospital, the normal reference value range of TRAb is different and needs to be analyzed specifically. Thyrotropin Receptor Antibody (TRAb) patients with abnormal test results should go to the hospital in time to further improve the examination to clarify the cause, and be treated under the guidance of the doctor.
