Cost of varicocele treatment

For varicose veins, medication is not effective and is not recommended; surgery is recommended. There are three types of surgery: the first, the traditional inguinal incision, where the varicose vein is ligated in high position, costs about 8,000 yuan. The second, laparoscopic high ligation of the spermatic vein, costs about $12,000 for the procedure. The third, microscopic varicocele ligation, costs about $15,000. Each of these three surgical procedures has its own advantages and disadvantages. The traditional procedure is more invasive but less expensive, and it is prone to recurrence after surgery. The laparoscopic high ligation, which can be performed on both sides at the same time, is less invasive and has better surgical results, but the disadvantage is that it is easy to miss some of the varicose veins. The microscopic approach is more expensive, but it can find all the varicose veins.
