How to detect stones

Recently, the Department of Urology of our hospital successfully performed Holmium laser lithotripsy with ureteroscopy for two patients with complex kidney stones. The patients were discharged from the hospital three days after the operation. The successful implementation of this operation also marked a technical breakthrough in the endoscopic treatment of stones in our urology department, filling the technical gap in the field of stone treatment and marking a new level of minimally invasive diagnosis and treatment in our urology department. Auntie Wang, 56 years old, who lives in Anhui Province, has been treated for right ureteral stone and right kidney stone in Anhui and Jiangsu hospitals for many times in the past one year, and has undergone extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy and ureteroscopic lithotripsy for many times, but the lithotripsy was unsuccessful because of the large activity of the stone. “He came to our hospital after hearing that we had recently purchased a new detachable ureteroscope from Germany and were already performing ureteroscopic technology. After an hour of careful operation, all the stones in the right ureter and right kidney were successfully removed. Director Wei Zhongqing pointed out that for this kind of stone disease, the traditional treatment plan is to remove the ureteral stones through ureteroscope first, and then perform extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy on the right kidney stones, which has a long treatment period and unclear effect; however, the soft ureterorenoscopy lithotripsy technology is one of the most leading and effective lithotripsy techniques recognized at home and abroad, which is non-invasive, non-bleeding, and also known as the “non-invasive” surgery for urinary tract stones. “It is the latest development trend of lumpectomy for stone treatment. According to Prof. Wei Zhongqing, compared with the traditional ureteroscope, the flexible ureteroscope has a highly flexible and bendable body, which is convenient and can be bent to reach any position of the renal pelvis and calyces, making it easy for the doctor to crush or remove ureteral and renal stones under direct vision. Advantages. Flexible ureterorenoscopic lithotripsy is suitable for patients who are relatively contraindicated to receive anticoagulation therapy for minimally invasive surgery, patients with severe physical deformities, isolated kidney, polycystic kidney, ectopic kidney and other special kidney stone cases. It can also replace extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy in the treatment of relatively large kidney stones, upper ureteral stones, and re-removal of residual stones after percutaneous nephrolithotomy. At present, the Second Affiliated Hospital of Southern Medical University has advanced equipment such as ultrasound positioning electromagnetic type extracorporeal shock wave lithotripter, percutaneous nephrolithoscope, ureteroscope, flexible ureteropelviscope, flexible cystoscope, TV laparoscope and other advanced equipment to form a whole set of stone disease treatment system, thus allowing many patients with complex kidney stones to get good treatment at home.
