Can impetigo be cured?

Depending on the severity of the impetigo can be assessed and is usually curable. The milder types of impetigo, such as common impetigo, can usually be cured in a relatively short period of time with topical medications or simple oral medications. Other more severe types of impetigo may cause systemic damage, such as systemic sepsis, pneumonia or meningitis, and possibly kidney damage, which is more difficult to treat, and the course and period of treatment is longer, but active treatment may also be curable, so you must go to the hospital in a timely manner if you have impetigo.
