Hepatitis B antibody is a product of the body after stimulation by the hepatitis B virus. It is used to indicate that the body is infected with the hepatitis B virus. Hepatitis B antibodies are divided into three main types of antibodies: surface antibodies (anti-HBs), E antibodies (anti-HBe) and core antibodies (anti-HBc). 1. Anti-HBs refers to the antibodies produced by the hepatitis B virus surface antigen (HBsAg) after stimulating the body’s immune system. 2, anti-HBe refers to the antibody produced after the e antigen of hepatitis B virus excites the human immune system, it usually appears after the disappearance of HBeAg which suggests that the hepatitis B virus is replicating, if it is positive, it means that the replication of most of the hepatitis B virus has stopped and subsequently the disease will change from active to quiescent. 3. anti-HBc This is an antibody produced after the hepatitis B core antigen (HBCAg) has stimulated the body’s immune system. It is different from both anti-HBs and anti-HBe. Its positivity indicates that you have been infected or are newly infected with the hepatitis B virus. Generally, what we call hepatitis B antibodies are hepatitis B surface antibodies, or protective antibodies, which protect the body from the hepatitis B virus. The most important way to obtain them is through hepatitis B vaccination. Therefore, each of the three types of hepatitis B antibodies has a different meaning, and the status and regression of the infection is usually determined clinically by testing for the five hepatitis B tests, among others, in a comprehensive manner.
