What does it mean to be 1-5 positive for hepatitis B?

Hepatitis B 1.5 positivity indicates acute hepatitis B virus infection or chronic hepatitis B virus carrier. Hepatitis B 1.5 positive usually refers to the hepatitis B virus surface antigen positive and hepatitis B virus core antibody positive in the 5 tests of hepatitis B virus, of which the hepatitis B surface antigen usually suggests that the hepatitis B virus has been infected, and most of the people with acute hepatitis B virus infection can be turned into negative, while people with chronic hepatitis B virus infection can show persistent positive results. Core antibody is mainly used to assess whether the body has been infected with hepatitis B virus, and it can still be detected in the body during the process of hepatitis B virus infection, in the acute stage, or even several years after the acute stage; and some chronic hepatitis B virus carriers can also be detected with this antibody; however, this index can not assess whether the patient is acutely or chronically infected. When hepatitis B is found to be positive, it is recommended to go to a regular infection department as soon as possible, and if necessary, under the guidance of a physician for diagnosis and treatment.
