What does it mean to have a stool test cue ratio of about 3:7

Stool test bulb-to-bulb ratio refers to the ratio of cocci and bacilli in stool, the normal ratio is about 1:10~1:20, stool test bulb-to-bulb ratio of 3:7 suggests that the intestinal flora is out of balance. The ideal range of bacillus to coccus ratio is 1:10-1:20, i.e. bacillus ratio is much higher than coccus ratio because intestinal bacilli are mostly probiotics, which are beneficial to maintain the stability of intestinal environment. So a 3:7 coccobacillus ratio suggests some dysbiosis. Intestinal flora dysbiosis is often associated with diarrhea, abdominal pain and other symptoms, and if not treated in time, nausea, vomiting, electrolyte disorders, and even develop into dehydration shock, toxic shock and other serious diseases. Dysbiosis of intestinal flora can be seen in infectious and non-infectious enteritis, but also in diabetes, malnutrition, malignant tumors and other diseases. The treatment of intestinal flora dysbiosis firstly needs to actively control the primary disease, and assist in giving probiotics to restore intestinal flora. Commonly used probiotics include Bifidobacterium bifidum quadruple live bacterial tablets, Bacillus licheniformis capsules, Lactobacillus tablets and so on. For a stool test result of about 3:7, it is recommended to consult a doctor for clarification in conjunction with symptoms, medical history and other tests.
