Foot fungus, or tinea pedis, is caused by a fungal infection of the feet, with blisters of the blister type. Clinical treatments include topical drugs and systemic drugs, and there are special treatment programs for itching. 1. Topical drugs: blistering tinea pedis should choose less irritating cream or water, such as azole toner or solution. 2. Systemic medications: Itraconazole or terbinafine should be taken orally with close monitoring of liver function, and such medications should be taken on medical advice. 3. Treatment program for those with severe itching: first choose the compound preparation (antifungal drug plus glucocorticoid) for 1~2 weeks, after the inflammation and itching are relieved, change to the topical antifungal drug which does not contain glucocorticoid. Tinea pedis should be treated timely and thoroughly, and those with onychomycosis should be treated for onychomycosis at the same time in order to eliminate the source of infection; pay attention to wearing shoes and socks with good ventilation and keeping the feet dry; and don’t use public shoes and socks, footbaths, bathtubs and other daily necessities.
