TCM diet therapy has a long history and is characterized by the integration of food and medicine, i.e. health care and disease prevention. More than a thousand years ago, Chinese medicine described the symptoms of lung cancer and believed that the external evils such as wind, cold, heat, humidity, dryness and fire attacked the lungs and did not dissipate over time, resulting in lumps due to mutual stasis and poison. In different stages of lung cancer, the applied food therapy has its own characteristics. In early stage of lung cancer, the clinical symptoms are not obvious, so the focus of dietary therapy is to increase nutrition and strengthen the inhibition of tumor, so as to increase the body’s ability to resist disease and strengthen the inhibition of tumor; for patients after lung cancer surgery, the focus is to support the righteous energy and increase the inhibition of tumor to reduce metastasis and recurrence; for lung cancer radiotherapy patients, the focus is to nourish yin and generate fluid to protect normal tissues to reduce the effects of radiotherapy, in response to the characteristics of radiation fire. For lung cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy, it is necessary to protect the spleen and stomach, increase appetite and regulate diet; when lung cancer develops to an advanced stage and symptoms such as breath-holding and hemoptysis appear, dietary therapy should add drugs to stop bleeding and fight cancer, focusing on reducing clinical symptoms and increasing immunity in order to facilitate the arrival of patients’ turnaround. The following are several kinds of dietary therapy recipes for lung cancer. 1.White fruit and jujube porridge: 25g of white fruit, 20 red jujube and 50g of glutinous rice, cook porridge together and take it in the morning and evening on an empty stomach, which has the function of detoxification and decongestion. 2, ginkgo steamed duck: 200g white fruit, white duck a, white fruit shelled and peeled, mixed into the killed duck belly, plus broth stewed duck meat cooked and eaten, often eaten, can tonic deficiency and calm asthma. 3, ice sugar almond porridge: sweet almonds 15g, bitter almonds 5g, 100g of round-grained rice, ice sugar, sweet almonds, bitter almonds softened with water to remove the skin, pounded with round-grained rice, water, ice sugar cooked into a porridge. Take every other day, with the effect of moistening the lungs and expectorant. 4.Senghuang Jujube Porridge: 30g of senghuang, 20 red dates, 100g of glutinous rice, cooked into porridge, served warm in the morning and evening on an empty stomach, suitable for those who cough up blood in lung cancer. 5.Duck stew with Cordyceps: 10-15g of Cordyceps, one duck, plus broth and meat stew, suitable for lung cancer patients with kidney deficiency. 6.Prince chicken: one hen, 15g of prince ginseng, eat the meat and drink the soup. Patients with Qi deficiency can replenish Qi, benefit the lung and generate fluid after eating. 7.Lily and lotus seed soup: 50g of lily, 10g of lotus seed, 50g of silver fungus, 15g of astragalus (shabu package), appropriate amount of rock sugar, cooked together, taken every night, can moisten the lungs and stop cough. 8, licorice snow pear boiled pig lung: licorice 10g, snow pear 2, pig lung about 250g, pear peeled and cut, pig lung washed and sliced, squeeze out the foam, and licorice with the casserole, add a little rock sugar, water, boil for 3 hours to take, can reduce phlegm and cough. 9. Medicine juice punch lotus root powder: maitong, raw earth, comfrey, lobelia each 10g, saxifrage, cypress, each 6g, lotus root powder 30g, sugar, the first six decoction to dregs, while hot punch lotus root powder, add sugar to take, often served to clear the lungs and resolve phlegm. 10, Chuanbei duck pear soup: Chuanbei 10g, a duck pear, sugar, wash the pear by the handle cut off horizontally, dig out the core, loaded with Chuanbei, ice sugar, and then the upper part of the pear put together, fixed with a toothpick, put a small amount of water to boil 30 minutes, eat pear soup, once a day, has the effect of reducing phlegm and cough. 11, almond mulberry bark pig lung soup: bitter almonds, mulberry bark 15g each, pig lung half, the pig lung washed and cut with almonds, mulberry bark with stew, until the pig lung cooked, eat pig lung drink soup. It has the effect of lung and asthma. 12.Beehive lung porridge: 15g of beehive, 6g of cicada retreat, 100g of round-grained rice, appropriate amount of honey, add water to boil and remove slag, add round-grained rice and cook porridge, finally add honey to take, suitable for lung cancer cough. 13.Chuanbei Snow Pear Porridge: 2 snow pears, 10g of Chuanbei (grind), 50g of round-grained rice, appropriate amount of rock sugar. Wash the snow pear first, mash it to get juice, cook the congee with round-grained rice, and when it is cooked, add Sichuan mussels and rock sugar, which can moisten the lung and resolve phlegm.
