How is constipation treated?

Constipation is not a disease name, but a syndrome of primary or secondary defecation disorders formed by a variety of disease factors in the digestive tract, and does not refer to either transient constipation or the diagnosis of a single disease. It can be caused by various reasons such as reduced intestinal transport function or obstruction of fecal elimination output channels, and also includes constipation caused by painful exit diseases. Clinical manifestations 1, constipation, prolonged defecation time, <3 times / week, dry, hard, small amount of stool, poor; 2, defecation difficulties: prolonged stool in the colon transport time, through the difficult, laborious discharge, or anal pain, swelling, incomplete bowel movement, or often rely on maneuvers to help stool. Second, the type of constipation 1, slow transmission type constipation: refers to the slow functioning of the colon, the intestinal contents of the delayed discharge of constipation, while the rectal discharge and pelvic floor function is normal. Causes include endocrine or metabolic diseases: diabetic enteropathy, hypothyroidism, neurological diseases: central brain, stroke, drug factors, etc. 2, export obstruction type constipation: refers to the rectum, anal lesions caused by defecation difficulties. Common diseases include rectal mucosal prolapse, puborectal muscle syndrome, sphincter loss retardation, rectal protrusion, perineal descent, anal stenosis, hemorrhoid disease, etc. (1) Rectal mucosal prolapse: It refers to the separation and prolapse of the mucosal and muscular layers of the rectum. (2) Puborectal muscle syndrome: due to hyperplasia and hypertrophy of the puborectal muscle into shelf disease, and contraction of the anorectal angle reversal during force discharge. (3) anterior rectal protrusion: a cystic cavity formed by the protrusion of the anterior rectal wall in the direction of the vagina during defecation, also known as anterior rectal bulge. Among them, fecal imaging is a reliable basis for the diagnosis of rectal mucosal prolapse, rectal protrusion, puborectal hypertrophy syndrome. 3, mixed constipation: both the characteristics of the above two. Treatment 1, slow transmission type constipation: because the condition is stubborn, treatment difficulties, clinical Chinese medicine mostly use Chinese medicine oral treatment and acupuncture and massage, with psychological, dietary treatment. Western medicine mostly use gastrointestinal power drugs and laxatives. But the results are not optimistic. 2, colonic redundancy with laxative enteritis, intestinal peristaltic function loss can be treated by surgical procedures. 3, the anorectal department to solve the export type constipation. Through the combination of Chinese and Western medicine surgery to solve the export of the disorder, surgery using rectal prolapse mucosa to give Chinese medicine injection, rectal prolapse open repair, ligation, ligature, release muscle hypertrophy spasm, anal molding, so as to change the anorectal angle, so that fecal discharge smooth. If the constipation is accompanied by intestinal transmission type constipation, the postoperative period can be combined with traditional Chinese medicine to regulate intestinal function to achieve a fundamental solution to constipation. It is the characteristic treatment of TCM anorectal to solve constipation. Constipation is a disease caused by comprehensive factors. Especially when slow transmission type constipation and outlet obstruction type constipation exist at the same time, the two are mutually influential and causal. Conservative treatment is ineffective, and the indications for surgery for outlet obstruction type disease are clear.
