Does the absence of change in a 7 year old ground glass nodule indicate malignancy?

The absence of change in the ground glass nodule at 7 years suggests that it is more likely to be a benign nodule.
Frosted glass nodules are cloudy, thin or rounded nodular shadows with mildly increased density in the lungs observed on imaging, and the bronchial and vascular texture inside the nodules can still be shown, which is similar to frosted glass, so they are called frosted glass nodules. Frosted glass nodules with a diameter of >8 mm may be early stage lung cancer, but frosted glass nodules with a diameter of <5 mm are less likely to be malignant. If there is no change in a ground-glass nodule after 7 years of follow-up, the nodule is considered to be benign. In the case of malignant nodules, the nodule will be increasing in size or show features of malignant lesions, such as density solidification, vascular sign, pleural pulling sign, etc.
