Hepatitis B core antibody alone is positive, and it is recommended to check the hepatitis B half-pair for a clear diagnosis. Hepatitis B core antibody is one of the five hepatitis B tests, and the significance of being positive is as follows: 1. For healthy people, a positive Hepatitis B core antibody alone suggests a previous infection with the Hepatitis B virus, which has been cleared, leaving the core antibody positive, but without the production of protective surface antibodies. Because core antibodies are not protective, they are only a sign of previous infection. 2. For patients with chronic hepatitis B, this antibody positivity is an indicator of major or minor trisomy, or other positive hepatitis B status. For people who have been infected with hepatitis B, or are already hepatitis B patients, the core antibody will be positive. If diagnosed as being infected with the Hepatitis B virus, it is recommended that the patient has the need to actively undergo treatment to avoid any health consequences.
