What is pharyngeal conjunctival fever?

Pharyngeal conjunctival fever is usually seen in children and is caused by a viral infection. The virus is usually adenovirus, which usually develops in spring and summer and can be transmitted through the digestive tract. Occasionally, patients may experience nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, and diarrhea. Because of the viral nature of the infection, oral antibiotics are not required. If lymphocytes are elevated, the diagnosis of viral infection is confirmed. The treatment requires temperature control to avoid convulsions or seizures due to high fever. During the treatment period, the patient needs to drink more water, take more rest, and take vitamin supplements in the diet, which will gradually heal in about a week.
