Sedimentary kidney stones are produced in the kidneys and exist in a sediment-like state as the name implies. Sediment type kidney stones are more common because of their larger number and smaller particles. Since the stones are small in shape when they are formed, they can be discharged through conservative treatment, such as drinking more water, participating in physical activities and medications to assist in stone removal. Sedimentary kidney stones are smaller in size and usually have no obvious clinical symptoms and can be expelled by conservative treatment. Even if there are no symptoms, they should be reviewed regularly, and if they cannot be expelled on their own, clinical intervention is required.
