Penile ulcers caused by syphilitic factors are usually treated with syphilis and penicillin is currently the drug of choice for the treatment of syphilis. Its advantages are high efficacy, low toxicity, short course of treatment and simplicity of approach. However, allergic reactions can occur with penicillins, as well as giher reactions, which can lead to anaphylaxis or even death in severe cases, and skin testing is required before injection. Other drugs such as cephalosporin, tetracycline, erythromycin, chloramphenicol and chlortetracycline are also effective in the treatment of syphilis.
