The treatment of hypospadias is a complex plastic surgery. As early as the first century B.C., doctors explored surgical methods for the treatment of hypospadias, and until the 1960s of this century, more than three hundred surgical methods were studied at home and abroad. The surgery was performed in two stages and the success rate was below 50%. In the past fifty years, surgeons have used many ways to try to complete the treatment by one operation, and have achieved promising results, but the overall treatment effect is still unsatisfactory, the incidence of urethral fistula is still as high as 15-40%, and the incidence of complications such as urethral stricture and urethral stricture is also high, comprehensive domestic and foreign hospitals at all levels, the overall cure rate of one operation hovers at the level of 50-80%, the pain of multiple operations The pain of multiple surgeries and the high cost of the surgery impose a heavy burden on children and parents. The main factor that restricts the success rate of surgery is that the treating surgeon always feels that there is not enough penile skin for forming the urethra. In order to improve the success rate of one-stage surgery for all types of hypospadias and to reduce the pain of multiple surgeries, our department has been specializing in researching new surgical procedures for hypospadias since 1980, and after many attempts of different flap designs, repeated studies and modifications, and clinical trials of more than 100 cases, we finally designed a new one-stage urethroplasty procedure with combined flaps of foreskin, penis, scrotum, and perineum. This is the Shang Qing Ying method of treating congenital hypospadias. The difficulty of insufficient penile skin for urethroplasty was solved by the design method of urethroplasty.
