Hypospadias is one of the common congenital malformations of the male genitourinary system. It has a significant psychological and physical impact on the patient, as well as on his relatives. The difficulty and complexity of the treatment of this disease can be seen from the fact that more than 200 treatments have been recorded since the beginning of its existence. Precisely because of the high incidence of hypospadias and the difficulty of treating it, our hospital has set up a special hypospadias treatment center to engage in the treatment of hypospadias and related diseases (penile shortening and penile dysplasia). After 20 years of efforts, our hospital has developed a more complete and systematic treatment system for this disease by applying various methods to reconstruct the urethra, such as scrotal longitudinal flap, dorsal foreskin flap, local foreskin flap, dorsal penile flap, local penile scrotal flap, arterial island foreskin flap, one side scrotal flap, and inguinal flap. The success rate of the surgery has been greatly improved because we can use individualized treatment measures for the specific conditions of different patients. Our center has treated more than 200 patients with various types of hypospadias, most of which are complex and have not been cured by multiple treatments in other hospitals. The success rate of one surgery has reached more than 90%, and patients with hypospadias who have undergone systematic and sequential treatment are not only able to stand and urinate, but also to get married and organize their families.
