Radical prostate cancer surgery for senior men

Mr. Y is 78 years old and had prostate cancer confirmed by prostate puncture in early 2014 with no metastatic manifestations. Choosing the right option among the many treatment options became a challenge for patients and doctors. Prostate cancer is the most prevalent malignancy in men, and patients are mostly elderly men. Previously, for men aged over 73 years, non-surgical treatment was often chosen. However, in recent years, the age limit of surgery at home and abroad tends to be determined by the life expectancy of patients. Although Mr. Y is 78 years old, his physical condition is very good and his life expectancy is more than 10 years. After thorough communication and preparation between Director Zhang Minguang and Mr. Y and his family, radical prostate cancer surgery was chosen. The surgery was completed successfully. Now, six months after the surgery, Mr. Y has good urinary control and all indicators of prostate cancer have reached the expected results.
