Chinese Medicine Treatment for Lung Cancer

There are exact standards and norms for the treatment of tumors in TCM. What do you think you do and combine with other experts’ understanding for each tumor treatment is introduced. Diagnosis of lung cancer in TCM: The diagnosis of tumor generally depends on cytology, molecular science, histology, and also clinical diagnosis can be given through clinical manifestations and experimental examinations. Chinese medicine look and feel cannot be neglected. The diagnosis of facial color and tongue and pulse has unique significance in the diagnosis of lung cancer. If the face is dull and sallow like dust, it is a deficiency of positive qi; if the face has no color, sweating like oil and looking miserable, the lung qi will be extinguished and the prognosis is especially poor. If the face is swollen, or even one of the upper limbs is swollen, the veins in the neck are varicose, and crab claw lines are seen under the skin in front of the chest, then water and dampness are stagnant in the lungs. The degree of crab claw lines on the cheek often increases with the clinical stage and the dramatization of symptoms. At the same time, the changes of the tongue and pulse reflect the internal pathology: thick and greasy tongue coating is phlegm turbidity, and thick and greasy yellow dry tongue coating is the internal organs, which needs to be diarrhea large intestine and lung Qi. A dark tongue, a reddish or blue tongue, and a coarse pulse are stasis of blood, which may be related to the patient’s poor cardiopulmonary function and circulatory disorders. In the pulse of lung cancer diagnosis, slippery is mainly phlegm and dampness, string is mainly qi stagnation and blood stasis, thin is mainly deficiency, and number is mainly heat. Late stage lung cancer is a sign of critical condition when the body and mind are in decline, wheezing and coughing up blood, sweating and cold limbs, eyes closed and unable to lie down, but the pulse is slippery and finger-tied and hollow and weak. The therapeutic role of TCM in different periods In the early stage before surgery, the application of TCM can improve the quality of the patient and increase the tolerance to surgery. After surgery, TCM can promote the recovery of the body and help eliminate the residual tumor lesions. Chinese medicine applied together with radiotherapy can not only improve the efficacy of radiotherapy, but also reduce the side effects of radiotherapy. After radiotherapy, long-term use of traditional Chinese medicine can also prevent tumor recurrence and metastasis. At the advanced stage of cancer, the application of Chinese medicine can improve the survival time and quality of life of patients. 1.In the prevention of tumor high-risk group, TCM is in the leading position to prevent cancer, and can be taken to identify and treat the soup. 2.After surgical resection of stage I tumor, most of them do not need adjuvant radiotherapy and chemotherapy, Chinese medicine treatment to prevent cancer metastasis and recurrence is in an important position, and Chinese medicine should be taken for 3 to 5 years and reviewed regularly. 3. After surgical resection of stage II and IIIa tumors, most of them need to do post-surgical adjuvant radiotherapy and chemotherapy to prevent metastasis and recurrence. Chinese medicine treatment in this stage is to increase the sensitivity of radiotherapy and reduce the toxic side effects of radiotherapy. After radiotherapy is finished, it is still necessary to take Chinese medicine for a long time to prevent metastasis and recurrence, at least 5 years of Chinese medicine soup discernment and regular review. 4. In stage IIIb and IV, for some radiotherapy-sensitive tumors, such as lymphoma and small cell carcinoma, if the patients are in good physical condition, they should be treated with a combination of Chinese and Western medicine, radiotherapy plus Chinese medicine to increase sensitivity and reduce toxicity; for radiotherapy-insensitive tumors, or if the patients are not in good physical condition, they should be treated with Chinese medicine to improve the quality of life and prolong the survival period.
