The Vater’s jug is a mucosal fold in the inner wall of the duodenum that contains the terminal opening of the biliopancreatic duct and is surrounded by the duodenal portion of the sphincter of Oddi. Malignant tumours originating from the Vater’s abdomen or nearby structures are known as peri-potty carcinomas.
