After a renal contusion, absolute bed rest is usually required for at least 2-4 weeks to observe the hematuria, and only after the hematuria has completely disappeared can you properly get out of bed, and if you get out of bed too early, there is a risk of reappearing blood in the urine. It takes at least 4-6 weeks for a kidney contusion to heal completely, and physical activity is avoided for 2-3 months after the recovery period. Renal contusions are generally divided into renal petechiae and subperitoneal hematomas, and the clinical manifestations are mainly hematuria, pain, and in severe cases, patients may develop abdominal masses and even shock. Subperitoneal hematoma needs to be reviewed regularly to monitor whether the hematoma has been completely absorbed.
