Early signs and symptoms of pancreatic cancer

Pancreatic cancer starts insidiously and the early symptoms are not obvious. Pancreatic cancer is difficult to diagnose in early stage and is easy to metastasize, so when pancreatic cancer is diagnosed, it is often in advanced stage. However, you should pay attention to the symptoms such as abdominal pain, jaundice, dyspepsia and emaciation, and consult a doctor as soon as possible to determine whether you have pancreatic cancer.

1. Abdominal pain: Abdominal pain often appears as the first symptom, which is persistent, progressive aggravation of pain in the middle and upper abdomen or waist and back, and it is worse at night. The pain is aggravated when the patient is lying on the back, stretching and other spinal extension movements, and can be relieved to a certain extent when the patient is lying on the back, squatting, bending and other spinal curvature movements.

2. Jaundice: about 90% of patients may have jaundice, mainly related to the tumor invading the common bile duct, which makes the patient’s skin and sclera yellowish with progressive aggravation, the urine may be dark yellow or strong tea color, and the stools are often white clay-like, and may be accompanied by fishy smell.

3. Dyspepsia: As pancreatic cancer may block the lower end of common bile duct and pancreatic duct, so that bile and pancreatic juice can’t enter the duodenum normally, and the lack of bile and pancreatic juice will make the patients suffer from lack of appetite, dyspepsia, and foul-smelling feces and other symptoms.

4. Wasting: As pancreatic cancer can cause the body’s nutrition to be consumed in large quantities, as well as the patient’s anxiety, depression and other negative emotions about the disease, it will also lead to loss of appetite, and ultimately lead to wasting.

If the above clinical manifestations occur, it is necessary to go to the hospital in time to find out the cause of the disease and actively cooperate with doctors for treatment.
