Pregnant women with swollen feet in the fifth month may be caused by the following: i. caused by nephritis, due to chronic nephritis before pregnancy, due to the progressive increase in kidney load after pregnancy, increased amount of urine protein, hypoproteinemia, and tissue interstitial edema. Second, hypertensive disease during pregnancy, caused by the increase in blood volume in the body in the fifth month of pregnancy, systemic small blood vessel spasm, and increased blood pressure. Third, due to the increase in weight of pregnant women in the fifth month, the weight load on both lower limbs increases, and the venous return of the lower limbs is slow. Fourth, due to the absorption of nutrition by the pregnant fetus, resulting in a relative lack of nutrition in the mother, such as mild anemia and hypoproteinemia, which can cause swollen feet.
