Men’s feet swelling is caused by what

Lower limb swelling in men often has the following causes: 1. Cardiogenic edema, mainly due to heart failure and reduced pumping function of the heart. Because of heart failure, the power of blood forward is reduced, and some blood will be stored in the veins of the lower extremities, and the high pressure in the veins will force water to overflow out of the vessels and infiltrate into the tissues, causing edema; 2. Nephrogenic edema, typically manifested by facial and lower extremity edema in the morning, often occurs in diseases such as glomerulonephritis. In this case, due to the reduction of glomerular filtration function, the amount of protein in the blood decreases, and the ability of the blood to absorb water decreases, resulting in water infiltration into the tissues and causing edema; 3. Hepatogenic edema, which is common in patients with advanced cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma, occurs on a similar principle as nephrogenic edema. In addition, lower limb venous reflux disorders and certain drugs can also cause foot swelling, which requires hospital consultation to identify the cause and target treatment.
