Routes of novel coronavirus infection in newborns

  Possible routes of neonatal novel coronavirus infection are: vertical mother-to-child transmission, close contact transmission and droplet transmission (between family members, home visitors), and hospital-acquired infection. Those with confirmed and highly suspected infection.  In addition, since the incubation period of novel coronavirus in adults is 1-14 days, it is recommended that newborns be isolated for at least 14 days and seek medical attention promptly if they develop fever, cough, and other abnormalities.
