What is new pneumonia

Novel pneumonia refers to novel coronavirus pneumonia, and novel coronavirus is a coronavirus that first appeared in late 2019. According to the study, the original host of this type of virus is wildlife, but the specific wildlife from which it originates is not determined. The typical clinical manifestations of infection in humans include fever, malaise, dry cough, and progressively increasing dyspnea, with some patients starting with mild symptoms or even without significant fever. In a small number of critically ill patients, the disease progresses rapidly, and acute respiratory distress syndrome, septic shock, uncorrectable metabolic acidosis, and coagulation dysfunction soon appear, which can be life-threatening.
