When was the new coronavirus first discovered?

Novel coronavirus pneumonia was first identified in December 2019, when several cases of pneumonia with novel coronavirus infection were found one after another, and it did not take long afterwards for such cases to be found in other regions of China and outside China.

The disease is now included in the Law of the People’s Republic of China on the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases, identified as a Class B infectious disease, and is prevented and controlled as a Class A infectious disease. The national epidemic is now stabilizing, but is still in a critical period.
