Most postmenopausal adenomyosis does not resolve spontaneously. However, the clinical symptoms of postmenopausal adenomyosis patients will gradually disappear. Adenomyosis refers to the endometrium growing in the myometrium. Patients have progressive worsening dysmenorrhea before menopause, which is often intolerable and seriously affects their quality of life. After menopause, without menstrual flow, the abdominal pain will disappear and the quality of life will be improved. Adenomyosis is accompanied by an enlarged uterus, which will gradually atrophy after menopause. However, if the enlargement is obvious and the patient has just gone through menopause, there will be pressure symptoms, such as lumbar pain and distension of the small stomach, etc. These symptoms will be gradually alleviated as the uterus slowly atrophies. Although postmenopausal adenomyosis cannot be cured by itself, the disappearance of clinical symptoms is very obvious.
