What are the adverse effects of adapalene gel

Adapalene gel belongs to the retinoid class of drugs and is mainly used in the treatment of acne, with anti-inflammatory and anti-epidermal keratosis effects. Adapalene Gel has a low probability of phototoxicity and photosensitivity to ultraviolet light. It is recommended to be used topically at night and avoided during the day. Adapalene Gel should be used with caution for acne patients during pregnancy and for women who are breastfeeding. The main side effect is skin irritation, which can lead to redness, dryness and peeling of the skin after a period of application.
