Cervical conization surgery requires several days of hospitalization

Performing a conical hysterectomy usually requires a hospital stay of 5-7 days. For conical hysterectomy, relevant auxiliary tests need to be performed after hospitalization to exclude absolute contraindications to surgery. Currently, the hospitalization period is prolonged due to additional tests such as chest CT and nucleic acid of the new coronavirus during the epidemic. Generally, after completing the relevant auxiliary examinations, inpatient surgery can be arranged when there is no sexual intercourse within 2-7 days after menstruation. After surgery, we need to observe the amount of vaginal bleeding and cervical healing, which usually takes 2-3 days. If the amount of vaginal bleeding is not much and the cervical end is healing well, we can wait for the pathological result of cervical conization to come out, which indicates that the lesion has been completely removed, that is, we can discharge from the hospital and recuperate at home; if the pathological result of cervical conization comes out, which indicates that the lesion has not been cut or there are more advanced lesions, we can have another Surgical treatment. Irregular vaginal bleeding may occur during the healing period of the cervical wound after conical hysterectomy, the amount of vaginal bleeding should be paid attention to.
