How soon can I be discharged from the hospital after minimally invasive kidney stone surgery

After minimally invasive kidney stone surgery, the discharge time needs to be decided according to the surgery method and the recovery of the body, most of them can be discharged within 1 week. Minimally invasive kidney stone surgery is divided into two types: one is ureteral lithotripsy, which is performed through the ureter, and there is basically no damage. Another type of surgery is percutaneous nephrolithotomy, which requires skin puncture to place the nephrolithoscope into the renal calyces to remove the stone under direct vision. As a drainage tube needs to be placed in the renal calyces after the surgery, it is necessary to stay in bed for 2-3 days after the surgery, and then consider removing the drainage tube after the drainage fluid is clear. Generally minimally invasive surgery has a relatively faster recovery time than traditional surgical methods. After discharge, attention should be paid to drinking more water, appropriate activities and regular review.
