Herbal medicine plus acupuncture improves pregnancy rates

Infertility caused by fallopian tube obstruction accounts for 50% of female infertility, which is one of the main causes of female infertility at present, and there is a trend of increase year by year. The main pathological changes of pelvic inflammatory disease or endometriosis are tissue destruction, extensive adhesion, hyperplasia and scar formation, which lead to: 1, tubal obstruction, tubal thickening; 2, tubo-ovarian adhesion to form tubo-ovarian mass; 3, if the umbilical atresia of the fallopian tubes, the formation of tubal hydrosalpinx or tubo-ovarian pus or tubo-ovarian cysts; 4, the main and sacral ligament hyperplasia, thickening, and even uterine fixation. Its clinical manifestations are:infertility, ectopic pregnancy (its incidence is 8-10 times higher than that of normal women), chronic pelvic pain, recurrent pelvic inflammatory diseases. At present, the treatment of tubal obstruction is mainly through hysterolaparoscopic surgery, but the postoperative pregnancy rate reported at home and abroad is 21.7% to 24.5%, due to the postoperative local adhesion tissue can not be absorbed in time or completely dissipated, the wound is fresh, easy to lead to pelvic adhesion or even tubal obstruction again, thus weakening the therapeutic effect of the surgery. How to prevent the re-adhesion of tubal lumen and pelvis to ensure the therapeutic effect after surgery is a noteworthy problem. Since 2005, we have randomly divided the patients who underwent hysterolaparoscopic surgery for infertility caused by tubal factors into two groups: one group tried to conceive naturally after the surgery, and the other group started to add traditional Chinese medicine (oral + enema) with acupuncture three days after the surgery. The results: the pregnancy rate of the group with Chinese medicine and acupuncture was 66.9%, which was significantly higher than that of the group trying to conceive naturally (25.2%), and there was a significant difference. Pharmacological and clinical studies have proved that: Chinese medicine and acupuncture activate blood circulation, eliminate blood stasis, eliminate Y and pass the collaterals, have the ability to reduce inflammatory reactions, improve microcirculation and blood flow in the reproductive system, which is conducive to the repair and regeneration of the luminal mucous membrane epithelium, so as to better avoid the re-causing of pelvic adhesions and tubal obstruction after the surgery; improve the patency of the tubes, and improve the tubal functions of transporting sperms, ova, and fertilized ova and increase the receptivity of the uterus to the pregnant egg, and increase the fertility and fertility of the uterus. It also increases the tolerance of the uterus to the pregnant egg and improves the pregnancy rate.
