A small right kidney cyst is a renal cyst that occurs in the right side of the kidney and is detected during a urological ultrasound or abdominal CT examination. Most renal cysts are simple renal cysts, and there is a higher chance of a single occurrence. Renal cysts originate from diverticula of the renal tubules, which will become more and more numerous as we age and slowly develop into renal cysts. Renal cysts usually have no obvious symptoms, but when the cysts are relatively large, they can compress blood vessels or cause urinary tract obstruction, causing the corresponding clinical manifestations. The treatment of renal cysts mainly depends on the size of the cyst and whether there are obvious symptoms of compression on the kidney. If the kidney cyst is less than 5cm, no treatment is needed, only a urinary system examination is needed from 6 months to 1 year. If the cyst is more than 5cm or produces symptoms of compression of surrounding tissues and causes urinary obstruction, kidney cyst puncture and aspiration surgery or laparoscopic renal cyst decompression surgery can be done.
