Newborn baby girl with leukorrhea

The leucorrhoea in the vagina of a baby girl just a few days after birth is a physiological phenomenon, because the newborn is influenced by the mother’s estrogen in the mother’s body, and when the child is delivered, the influence of the mother’s estrogen is suddenly interrupted, so there will be a large amount of non-purulent vaginal secretions similar to those in the menstrual cycle of adult women, namely leucorrhoea. This is a physiological manifestation and does not require special treatment. As long as the child’s vulva is washed every day and the vulva is kept locally clean, the leucorrhea in the baby’s vulva will gradually decrease and disappear after a period of time. Due to the influence of maternal hormones, newborns also have enlarged mammary glands, pseudo-menstruation and even a small amount of lactation, which is also a physiological phenomenon.
