Pre-operative basic laboratory tests and examinations are performed to check whether the patient can tolerate the surgery and also to check the patient’s imaging. It is important to check how many cysts are present and then choose the type of anesthesia, either local or general anesthesia, to treat the maxillary cyst. In general, the treatment is performed by sterilizing the surgical area and then applying a special surgical blade to cut the gingiva in the area corresponding to the cyst. If the cyst is covered with bone it is necessary to remove the bone, expose the cyst and then apply a spatula to scrape the cyst completely to see that there is no residual cyst wall, end the procedure with irrigation and suture the wound.
