Papillary lesions of the common bile duct are one type of intraductal papillary tumor disease. Intracholedochal papillary tumor is a general term for papillary benign and malignant tumors occurring in the hepatic bile ducts, which are divided into limited and diffuse multiple ones. The etiology is not clear, and may be related to inflammation, stones, abnormal pancreaticobiliary flow, cysts and so on. Generally benign, but easy to recurrence, high rate of malignant transformation. The treatment of papillary lesions in common bile duct is mainly based on surgery, limited bile duct and liver tissue resection can be performed, and bile duct jejunum anastomosis or liver transplantation can be considered in extensive cases; choledochoscopic coagulation, cutting and other treatments are effective; ERCP and nasocholestial drainage are feasible for those who don’t have surgery, and built-in stenting of bile ducts are also available.
