Difference between traumatic shock and hemorrhagic shock

There is a difference between traumatic shock and hemorrhagic shock in concept, pathological process. The concept of traumatic shock is the body after traumatic shock, causing important organ damage, bleeding, the body’s effective blood volume is reduced, post-traumatic trauma caused by severe pain and discomfort, fear of psychological stimulation of a variety of factors, resulting in metabolic dysfunction of the body. The pathological process leading to shock includes the reduction of blood volume due to traumatic bleeding, and reflex inhibition after the nerve is stimulated. The concept of hemorrhagic shock is that all kinds of traumatic bleeding, gastrointestinal bleeding, esophageal variceal rupture bleeding, etc., leading to excessive blood loss, the effective circulating blood volume is insufficient, triggering shock. The pathological process is the reduction of effective circulating blood volume, leading to the reduction of perfusion of various tissues and organs, causing multi-organ failure. The two types of shock are not completely independent of each other; trauma-induced shock is often associated with severe blood loss, which means that both types of shock may coexist. The common denominator is that whichever type of shock occurs, it should be treated with antishock resuscitation in the emergency room in a timely manner.
