Clinical manifestations of spinal shock

Clinical manifestations of spinal shock include: impaired movement of limbs below the injured segment of the spinal cord, difficulty in urination, fecal incontinence, and respiratory and blood pressure disorders.
Spinal shock refers to the loss of spinal cord function due to various reasons, at which time the patient will experience the following symptoms.
1. impaired movement of limbs below the injured segment of the spinal cord. Since the spinal cord is the low-level center of motor activities, patients will have impaired movement of limbs below the injured segment after spinal cord shock.
2. Difficulty in urination, the lower center of urination is also in the spinal cord, so when the patient has spinal shock, the patient will also have difficulty in urination.
3. Fecal incontinence, the spinal cord is also the low-level center of the anal sphincter innervation, so when the patient has spinal shock, the patient will also have symptoms of fecal incontinence.
4. Respiratory and blood pressure disorders, the high spinal cord has a respiratory heartbeat center, when the high spinal cord shock patients will also have symptoms of unstable respiratory heartbeat.
It is recommended that patients should seek timely medical treatment after spinal cord injury, and early standardized treatment under the guidance of physicians.
